We Do What?

I receive many inquiries as to what services Adair Weddings offers. Well, so many! I often refer to our services as a "wedding in a box" (or perhaps SUV).

Here is the "official" list of services:

1. Event Planning Services: from start to finish

2. Event Mangement: day-of services

3. Floral Services: you dream it, we can create it!

4. Event Design: along the lines of the above, except we can do a non-floral design.

5. Rentals: Linens, Custom Linens, glassware, candy bar, the list is endless. From burlap to vintage books, our collecting over the years has given us an amazing inventory! Save money by renting!

6. Cakes: custom cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, dessert bars, French Macarons, pies, etc. if it's sweet, we can make it yummy and beautiful!!! All our icing is made from scratch, including our secret recipe white chocolate fondant that looks gorgeous, smells yummy, and tastes delicious!!

So, there you go. We offer complimentary consultations! Call or email to schedule yours today: 760.812.0574 or adairweddings@gmail.com

We have a few openings left for 2013, and booking for 2014-2015 as well! We are often able to accommodate bakery orders with a 1-2 week notice (sometimes a 24-hour notice, just call us!), but it does depend on the order. Floral services require at least 3 weeks. Deposits are required for most orders, and large events require payment in full 14-21 days in advance.

Put your event in our capable hands, from birthday parties to weddings, we do it all!

Cheers!!

Summer and Fall Weddings

Can you believe tomorrow is May 1st? I'm sitting here this morning working on contracts for fall & winter 2012 into 2013, and thinking "wow, the year is FLYING!". Not to mention all the orders I'm putting in this week for my summer weddings. Burlap & Lace anyone?

Yes, my summer. Lots of vintage, rustic-style events on the horizon. I've put in an order this morning for about 450yds of burlap, and seriously wonder if I should have ordered more. But I'm excited, I am cutting a custom burlap aisle runner, that I hope to be able to use as a rental afterwards *cross fingers*, and I will have burlap table runners (these I am seriously excited about!), burlap chair sashes (for mountain weddings, add in a wired pine cone on the back), and burlap bags to use for flower arrangements and to hang from trees.

And then lace. I'm hunting for the perfect lace pattern, I think a trip into LA is on the horizon, there's simply no where else in Southern California to hunt for fabrics. For any of you do-it-yourself brides, I highly HIGHLY recommend a trip into the Garment District of LA. A word of caution though. Please be careful shopping at the flower market though, they tend to sell non-wholesale clients their week+ old flowers. You think you are getting a good price, but they just won't hold up as well, specifically roses, peonies & other delicate flowers. Honestly, I really recommend you consult with a florist for your wedding flowers, at least for your bouquet. You would be surprised how inexpensive it can be, and how less stressed YOU will be!

A fun cake I have planned? Wood-grained fondant with "initials" carved. This particular bride, her father is making a custom stump to put the cake on (in addition to the hand-made benches & arbor for the ceremony! Now if I can get him to carve a bear.....), and so the idea to do wood-grain detail in fondant, it just seems to flow with the design.

So many other exciting things on the horizon this summer and fall. A wedding with a cotton candy machine, a custom cookie bar (I'm testing a new chocolate chip cookie recipe this week, I'm super excited about it!), candy bars, and rustic mountain/backyard weddings!

Do you need help planning your rustic mountain or backyard wedding? We can help! From finding that perfect location to making your backyard THE perfect location, from cake, flowers, rentals, decor and event-styling, & planning, we do it all. Call or email to set up your complimentary consultation! 760.812.0574 or adairweddings@gmail.com

Have a fabulous last day of April and first week of May! Our weather here in Southern California is going to be gorgeous!!

Cheers!

Mountain Lakes Wedding Tour Location!

Sorry for the late post on this, but I have our location for the Wedding Tour this Sunday, May 23rd from 12pm-6pm!

Adair Weddings will have floral displays as well as a cake to taste, and plenty of Cake Balls at the St Moritz Lodge at Lake Gregory Regional Park.

24171 Lake Drive
Crestline, CA. 92325

It looks like we're going to be doing a Black & Ivory theme, which is fabulous, as we did this AMAZING Black & White theme party on May 15th at the Grumpy Golfer in Victorville, CA.

I'll be posting photographs from the party this past weekend soon, as well as photographs from this coming weekend's wedding tour!

More to come

Let them eat cake!

2010 has been a pretty wild year so far (all exciting, and I have fully embraced it all!), and January started off with a bang for us, mainly in the baking department.
We did this elegant 2-tier fondant covered cake with freehand "squiggles" for a recent birthday party. The ribbon is edged in blue sequins, and we matched the accent color (the blue) to the color of the sequins. We did two different tiers, White Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Filling on the bottom, and Chocolate Chocolate Cake with Raspberry filling on the top, smaller tier.

Something like this would serve 35-40 people, and would be approx $125 with free delivery within the High Desert area. Please contact us if you live outside of the High Desert, as we DO deliver all over Southern California, and you will find that our delivery costs for Wedding & Special Event cakes are minimal.

This simple Chocolate Buttercream covered Chocolate Chocolate cake is a simple 2-layer 9" cake with a textured icing, instead of smooth.

Perfect for a small event, this cake yields 15-25 slices, depending on how you cut it.

Pricing for a cake this size starts at $20, and goes up depending on how elaborate you wish it decorated, type of icing (fondant is slightly higher), and delivery charges (we deliver free within a 10-mile radius)

In addition to the simple silver & gold (not pictured) covered display plates, we can also "stage" your cake, do custom cake stands, etc. This is something we discuss with you during a consultation, and having an idea for your decor, event space, and personal style.

Contact us to schedule a complimentary consultation, and we are even able to arrange tastings on occasion, if we have enough notice. Our basic pricing for Wedding Cakes is by the cake, NOT the serving, and we don't charge double if your wish is for a cake to be covered in fondant. We make all our icings & fondants ourselves, so in addition to looking beautiful, it will taste fantastic. We never freeze our cakes, and bake fresh within 24 hours of scheduled delivery.
