Table Decor

Today at bible study (we just finished Beth Moore's study on the book of James, wow!!) we celebrated Easter, as we have spring break for the next two weeks.

I went all out, chair covers, custom linens, and I tackled French Macarons. Woah, I've never been so stumped by a cookie!!! They turned out so-so looks wise, but taste? Mmmmm!!!!

We also had a special treat, Lev Shelo, a Messianic Jewish Band. Thy were amazing!! Corry Bell has a stunning voice! Check them out on their website www.levshelo.com

Enjoy my pictures! I'm going to go eat another Macaron. I have no idea when I will get up the nerve to tackle these again!!!

Mmmmmmm

We have a new bakery here in town, and they make yummy cupcakes, and? French Macarons!

They are delicious!! Margarita (owner and baker) is a trained pastry chef, and it shows in her work, both in presentation and taste!!

Flowers

I always enjoy a trip to my floral wholesaler. I took one of my summer brides with me this time, and we had a blast! (we did more than flowers, it was a good time!!)

Anemones, ranuculus', gebera daisies, they are all in season right now! Normally I buy myself roses, but this time I did something different. I'm happy I did!

Barbie is enjoying her daisies & ranaculus'. Mr Frog really likes the shade his anemones are providing. Both have a slight headache from the eucalyptus leaves, but they will manage!

Hope you enjoy my strange sense of humor. I always do!

Golden Red Wedding

These golden yellow Tara roses together with the classic Freedom (red) roses makes a very elegant combination for an evening wedding.

Congratulations to Shari & Mike! May the two of you have many happy years together.

Some Time Off

This week I am taking a much needed break from baking and such.

It's been pretty hectic around here the past couple of months! I'm taking the time to pursue a few non-cake activities and interests. Exciting times!

Divas of Praise

A local outreach ministry sometimes contacts me for special events. This past weekend they honored all the ladies in their congregation. The Divas of Praise.

I was given carte blanche to do whatever I felt would be appropriate, and here is the end result. It's sort of a hat on top of a box. Everything is made from sugar, and covered in shimmer & glitter!

Set Free is a great organization, they work with the homeless, the unwanted, those coming out of addiction, truly a faith walk for all those involved, especially in these economic times!

Happy St Patrick's Day!

It's wretched weather here, but the sculpting and painting and sugar-flower making continues!

Busy busy weekend, in fact, the wretched weather makes working easier....no lovely sun to tempt me to come outside and play! (or play "hooky" and run off somewhere fun!)

Alice in Wonderland!

I had the fun of styling a concession stand this past weekend for a school play.

So much fun, raised lots of $$$ for the drama club, and made many happy customers!

A huge thank you to Joe at Bear Valley Rentals for the killer deal on a cotton candy machine! That and my cake pops made over half our profit!
