Divas of Praise

A local outreach ministry sometimes contacts me for special events. This past weekend they honored all the ladies in their congregation. The Divas of Praise.

I was given carte blanche to do whatever I felt would be appropriate, and here is the end result. It's sort of a hat on top of a box. Everything is made from sugar, and covered in shimmer & glitter!

Set Free is a great organization, they work with the homeless, the unwanted, those coming out of addiction, truly a faith walk for all those involved, especially in these economic times!

Sugar Flowers!

Happy St Patrick's Day!

Hope everyone is having a lovely "green" day!

It's wretched weather here, but the sculpting and painting and sugar-flower making continues!

Busy busy weekend, in fact, the wretched weather makes working easier....no lovely sun to tempt me to come outside and play! (or play "hooky" and run off somewhere fun!)

Stay safe if you celebrate too much!

Back to sculpting sugar flowers, dipping cake pops, and making more fondant!

Excited to share some of this weekend's fun after my deliveries tomorrow! Mainly the "big" cake I'm working on! Something I've not done before, so I'm really thrilled about it.

2nd day of "Christmas"

My goal this December? Blog daily!! With blogger for iPhone, how could I not?? It's user friendly, and I'm snapping pictures anyway with it!

So, I will be posting things I have done over the past few months that I hadn't shared yet!

A wedding cake with a bride & groom made of sugar, with sugar flowers.

The initial idea was to have the couple on the motorcycle, but they were just too heavy! (sugar work is heavy!!)
