Spending my Friday evening with burlap bags & twine in preparation for a wedding next weekend! I've actually taken the majority of this past week "off" for personal crafting time. I will post more about that another day. It's super exciting!!
And tomorrow I am going to scope out a location for a huge wedding in September.
Lots of exciting things going on around here!!!
Cheers!

Plates
So, making a fun cake! And sugar plates!
I'm excited to introduce you to Milo of the Lollipop Forest soon!
And apologies for not keeping up with my blog, it's been pretty busy. Prepping for some huge upcoming events, and next week I will be taking a week off to enjoy some r & r.
Cheers!

Kindergarten Graduation Cake
As one of my final "duties" this week as one of the room moms for my youngest, I was asked to do the graduation cake (a big task! 4 classes, two in the morning, two in the afternoon)
As I already had a cake this past weekend, we came up with making one cake for display and to cut for the afternoon class, and two basic "cutting cakes" for the morning class.
The theme was "Nursery Rhymes", and they had a whole production. It was really adorable. I incorporated 4 into the cake:
"Little Girls and Little Boys"
"Hey Diddle Diddle"
"Mary Mary Quite Contrary"
"Baa Baa Black Sheep"
Kids loved it!! Everything was made of either sugar or chocolate. It was hard to cut it up!!
Graduations are happening! We have some fun cakes on our books! Call early, we are booking quite fast these days.

Teaser
Whew, busy in the kitchen on this very early Sunday morning!
Here are a couple of teasers of the bits and pieces for the Kindergarten graduation cake. Very bright and colorful!!
In still puzzling it all out, but I have all day tomorrow to iron out those details. I have to say, it's so odd to work on a Saturday night into Sunday!!! Sunday is typically my "off" day.
Oh well. My last child is only going to graduate Kindergarten once, he is so so so excited about it! (and the act that mommy is making a huge cake for all 4 classes!)
Cheers!

Hand Painted Baby Shower Cake
I hand-painted the cheetah print on this one. Also copied a pair of baby Nike shoes for the top!
This one was fun, bold, different, unexpected! I love when my clients want something so unique and different!
Stay tuned for my HUGE project! I was asked to perform my final "room mom" duty for Kindergarten. It is going to be a late night tonight and long day tomorrow!!
Cheers!
